We get an early start from our campsite on the Seine. It's only a couple of miles from Paris and we get lost AGAIN. After much review of GPS and advice from pedestrians we make it back to Paris. We wander the town and end up at the Pompidou center Starbucks expecting to be able to use the wifi. No luck connecting! We then head to the Museum Orsay and there were over a couple of hundred people in line to get in. No museum for us. We decide to go to a campground near Versailles. Again we get lost - we've seen many of the Paris arrondissements we just don' t know which ones. Finally a French cyclists notices our confusion and gives us clear directions and gets us to our campground Huttoppia. Along the way we stop at a McDonalds for a pit stop and the wifi works. Tomorrow after a Versailles tour we head south toward the Loire river.
Keep Rolling,
Pete

I’m so jealous. After yesterday’s addition of four days of updates all at once I knew you were having troubles with connectivity, directions, roads, falling behind your schedule of 100km/day. Strangely, this made me feel better; but then all of a sudden I see the Day 6 update and you’re in Paris….by train – HEY – THAT’S NOT FAIR! What’s gotten into you guys – this is about fighting the beast, not about having a fun vacation and especially not making me feel jealous again. Keep this up and I’m flying out there to meet you along the way somewhere.
I love following your progress. It looks like you're having a blast. Keep up the posts. How were the brownies?

Looks like you guys are having fun. Im glad to hear im not the only one who got lost everywhere I went. Having to check directions 3 times a mile really slows you down huh? Dad, you look skinnier in that latest picture, you been eating enough? I can remember paying twice the cost of a normal meal in the USA, and being served a portion size that would hardly fill up a 5 year old girl. I'd still gladly trade spots with you though. Have you checked your email? Your old yahoo address right? I sent you something the day you left and you never got back, check it out!
Enjoy the ride,
-JJ
Oh man, now your making me jealous, bottle of wine, beers, salami, bread...
I clearly remember the navigational issues and we were there in what 1999? Seriously you'd think after so many years...I hated going for 40 km but only getting 5 from where we started. Xoxo
